All American Christian Cowgirl with Invalid Son
Christine is now a good friend. I met her when hired to help her with her 27 year old invalid, from birth, son, Jesse. At the time I told her that she must be a very strong woman. Her reply was, " It's not about strength, it's about doing what has to be done".  I have never witnessed such a hard worker. The maintenance, single handedly, on her 80 acre horse ranch, the lawn mowing, the fixing the plumbing, the fence work, the dealing with the mold and spiders in that 100+ year old farm house.  I have some short vidios but do not know how to submit them, of the shower where you have to manuever the hoyer lift 3 inches, front wheels first, to get Jesse into the shower. I can't do it. I hurt my back the only time I tryed.  Jesse will probably not be with us much longer. He has good days where he laughs out loud to a song he likes on the raido. And than there are days when he dosn't even open his eyes. ...

I helped put him in his wheel chair the other day so his bedding could be changed and I wheeled him in front of the T.V. in the living room. He got such a kick out of Sponge Bob Square Pants. Jesse needs a T.V. mounted to the ceiling with an arm to move it in multiple directions because he needs to be turned every 2 hours.   Christine knows Jesse's days are numbered but she would love to care for other children with special needs when that day arrives.  Her other son, Joe. is attending collage on a scholarship for winning championship in the High School Rodeo National finals in 2004 for calf roping & team roping.  Kyle,( another high school rodeo member), goes to college now, on scholarships too.  Both with the help of Christine and her horse trailer with living quarters,( which she now does not have a truck to pull it with).  There would be plenty of cowboys, cowgirls, farmers and friends to help if they choose to make her dreams come true.
