Brooks & Dunn were awesome last night!!!! They performed "Honky Tonk Stomp" great!!! They were disappointed (I was too), I am sure, that they did not win the Duo Award.

Well the time has come.....we all know they will win duo tonite.....then they can move over.....and hand The Brooks and Dunn award to someone else!

Well-- it's not something anyone really approves of- but if they wanna stop recording together- maybe that's a good thing- I mean 20 years is a long time!!! Reba's been doing it 33 years and she's not done!!! We just need to enjoy this CD set to remember the greatest hits they made since 1991 like Boot Scootin' Boogie, My Next Broken Heart, You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone, and My Maria!!! all of these will be catalogued into 30 songs with 2 new ones, the last single of their career is Honkytonk Stomp, which has just been released to radio!!

Arista will be sadly disappointed!! Hopefully they'll do solo careers!!

Yes it's very sad, that great songs all to often get passed over, Seems radio has a set list of artist they will play, And stick to it. Brooks & Dunn have made some amazing music over the years And are in my opinion the best live act around, Burns me up that they haven't had a #1 song since Play Something Country. Not even Believe the song of the year for both ACM & CMA didn't get to #1, Brooks & Dunn have left their mark in country music, and they will be in the Hall of Fame. And no other duo can touch them

I agree with you aerobic but I do not like Jennifer Nettles' (of Sugarland) voice. I love traditional country music and do my best to keep it alive but does not do much good (I am afraid). For example, "Indian Summer' faded when it seemed to be zooming up the charts. Also, "Living for the Night" by George Strait" - it is fading - after getting to #6 on mediabase.

Absolutely correct!!! Just because Taylor puts on cowboy boots does not make her country!!! Also agree on Sugarland - covering pop in their shows and recording pop - the B52's!!! Yes, Jennifer has an amazing voice - Sugarland is not country. I feel that is why Cowgirl's Don't Cry did not make it No. 1 for B & D - too country - it was an amazing COUNTRY song that should have been a #1. Look @ Indian Summer - great song - going nowhere?? It is sad but traditional country is only played on the XM stations like Willie's Place or Outlaw Country. I wonder if B & D had a #1 from Cowboy Town if they would still split - B & D probably said "what do we have to do to get a #1??? Number ones are what make or break your album--none from Cowboy Town. I think Rascal Flatts are great but alot of their stuff is not really country. I had one Meet and Greet with B & D - after 20 years of trying!!! Got lucky last year - I have been so sad since they announced their split. I do feel that right now Nashville is all about acts like Sugarland, Taylor Swift, etc. - I have seen both in concert. Honestly, I hate to say this about Keith Urban (fantastic talent - saw him in concert 4 times) First time - country - each concert after became more and more rock - almost walked out on the last one!!! Traditional country is not "IN" right now - don't know what the future will bring but right now it is looking bleak. Turning my radio down right now @ work becasue Sugarland is singing "Joey"!!! The problem I see with B & D going solo is no matter what it is - it will not be as good - much as I love both of them. Their magic was together.
