Hi, I hope Garth reads this. I was a student at OSU at the same time as him. I have very fond memories of hanging out with him, and our friend Cari. One day, the group was jamming at Cari's house, and Garth sang Dan Fogelberg's "Run for the Roses". During this time frame, one of his friends, and a very talented musician, Jimmy died. Jimmy would have been a hell of a lyricist. Another one of his friends, and part of his band, got in trouble for picking up a "roadkill" deer. I often wonder what happened to him. I remember Garth came into the flower shop that Cari and I worked in, and applied to be a delivery person. The manager of the shop said he was "too seedy" to represent the shop! I still remember when you got the job at Tumbleweeds, to be a bouncer. Glad you didn't bounce me out of there (Those were my rowdy days). I used to be a pretty fair "boot-scooter" and loved to go out dancing, but due to multiple back injuries, I have not been able to dance in years. I am not much for country music, but I loved when you would sing some of the music that we listened to in the 70-80 era--Billy Joel songs were great! I hope that you would remember me, although it has been over 25 years, and a lot of people and a lot life has passed us.
I used to live in Tulsa, but five years ago, my husband and I moved to San Antonio TX. If you are ever down this way (a concert would be nice!), it would be nice to see you and to reminisce. I saw Cari years ago at a music festival in Winfield Kansas, she was married and I think had a kid or two. I am proud to be able to say "I knew you when"... I also have fond memories of Bill Self, as he went to high school with one of my college roommates. It is great to see people that I knew that have made it to the "big time". Keep up the music, your fans would love to hear some new music, but the old music is still great too!
