He missed a concert in Wabash, Ind., on Thursday night (July 16). The cancellations include a Saturday appearance at the Smoky Mountain Fan Fest and a Sunday performance at Jamboree in the Hills near Wheeling, W.Va. He also canceled a Friday stop in Mount Pleasant, Mich., and a Monday concert in Kettering, Ohio. His next tour date is scheduled for Sept. 18 in Clinton, Okla., according to his Web site. Haggard, 72, had a tumor removed last year after being diagnosed with lung cancer. I was schedule to go see Merle play in Kettering on Monday and while I am dissapointed that I will miss my first ever Merle Haggard concert, I am thankful it does not sound serious enough to cancel touring altogether.  I pray Merle will feel well better and be back touring soon.

    Thanks for that info Patty, I'm glad to hear that, Merle must be feeling somewhat better if that's the case, I hope & pray his health continues to improve, are you anywhere near to where those concerts take place Patty? It would be great if you could get to go!!

    Heather, just read Merle is given two back to back concerts next week. Here is an excerpt from the article:

    "Merle Haggard will be performing two free outdoor concerts at the Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino in Bartlesville on Saturday, August 19th and Sunday August 20th."

    Merle & Theresa trust in God to help you'll thru these awful times. I know first hand how painful neck & head pain can be. I hope you don't have something wrong with a vertaeba in your neck. U need to take care of your self before you can please all of your fans. Anyway ALL OF YOUR TRUE FANS WILL UNDERSTAND. Good luck from Sacramento,Ca.
