When I don't care for an artist, I simply don't buy their music. I don't bother bashing them. I'm listning to many diferent CM artists today because Taylor brought me back to country.

CMT, Country Miss Taylor. West was very rude for the way he handled himself, but he knows good talent. Teeny boppers are the ones putting Swift at the top of the charts. She goes out of her way to cater to them. I've always thought she should write songs and never sing. She is taking awards away from very good talent, because of the teeny boppers. If you can't sing stay off the stage!

Maybe the fact she was good. But hell I don't know of any of them being used. I mean don't you think if money was being used for this some of them would had been used. The person who sent you the PM let me guess was Tru right. He seems to always toss that around when Taylor gets something rather it be a fan voted award or an award from the academy. Rather you like it or not Taylor in away made country music bigger. See for me from the time I was born up until 2000 all I liked was country music. Then I got where I didn't and I like other stuff. Then Taylor Swift came along and I loved her. I loved her music and while listening at her music I became a fan again with all the new stars they came along since 2000 and also enjoyed the people who were there still from when I didn't like it. I'm sure I'm not the only person here who can say that. So before you hate on Taylor you really need to think about that. Cause I'm probably one of the many people who wouldn't even care to much about country music right now if Taylor never came along to get me back in to it and to see all the other amazing artist.

No I don’t have proof. What I said was based on something that was sent to me in a private message. But I will say that it seems very fishy that a 12 year-old could get a job on music row writing songs unless there was a little payola involved.

That whole bought her career crap is really the only thing that gets on my nerves. I can deal with people saying she can't sing and stuff like that cause well its there opinion. But they have no proof what so ever that her dad payed to get her to where she is. Just because her dad's rich doesn't mean anything alright. Show me real proof and I don't mean a story show me proof her dad did it. If you ain't got proof then all the people saying really need to stop saying it because its probably all lies.

I disagree. I don't think she's EARNED it. I keep hearing that her dad is loaded and has pretty much bought her singing career for her.

I like Taylor, and I like her music. It's honest and passionate.

I'm too old to relate to all of her songs, and I don't think she has the greatest voice ever.

But it's clear she's far more naturally gifted as a writer than most of the other stars. She's bringing a much sought after demographic to country radio and CMT.

I think she's earned her lofty and lucrative position.

You're right about smart business puts out what sales. Unfortunately it doesn't have anything to do with real talent. I watched the show because I'm a Def Leppard fan but was disappointed because Taylor ruined the show with her off-key singing and running around the stage like a rock star wannabe. And Joe singing Taylor's teenage love songs was completely embarrassing! I'm sure a lot of parents are going to buy the DVD for their kids but they're not getting ANY of my hard-earned money. I'm saving it for when they put some of the GOOD Crossroads shows out on DVD.

Because Smart Business says put out what will sale really well. Taylor is clearly the most popular star in Country Music right now. Yes where I'll love to see others you gotta think from a view here of CMT.

Say you ran something like a music network or something and you never put out stuff before of an artist...then one came along that was like popular. Selling out concerts and CD's flying of the self left and right...wouldn't you take an opportunity like that to sale something they did with your network.

CMT made a smart move here. They will gain some money from this. More then they probably would from any other ones. Who knows maybe this is there way of starting to put them out. Smart thinking says put out the one that will sell best first.

People on the CMT Crossroads message board have been asking for CMT to release the Crossroads shows on DVD but our requests have fallen on deaf ears. But, just as soon as Taylor (the little CMT sweetheart) is on a show they can’t get the DVD out fast enough. Why is her DVD for sale when none of the others have been? I would buy quite a few of them if they had them for sale.

For starters, they gave her three performances at the CMT Awards. These shows are supposed to be about Country music for Country music fans, not just Taylor Swift fans. There were artists in the audience that had new albums that I’m sure they would have liked to promote but they were left sitting there while it became the Taylor Swift show.

Is it shows her video to much on the Music show...If so I see your favorites on there just as much. Is it they talk about her on CMT Insider with the news. So what don't report something meh w/e. I don't really think anyone is shoved down our throats because on the music part from 6-11 you see the top stars the same amount of time(Taylor Swift,CU,Keith Urban,Miranda Lambert and so on) Only people they out show are the lesser known people. Yes I'd like to see them more but hell I got youtube for that so I wouldn't care really all together if they didn't show music videos on tv.
