Filmmakers of a new movie starringGeorge Strait are shooting a scene in Nashville next week.   The movie is called "A Pure Country Gift." The director behind "A Pure Country," which Strait starred in in the 1990s, is also directing the new movie.   Concert scenes will be shot Wednesday at Municipal Auditorium from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., and the filmmakers need people of all ages to sit in the audience.   Participants, who must show up in their finest country-western get-up, will park at LP Field and ride buses to the auditorium.   Volunteers will be entered into prize drawings. The grand prizes are a Vespa scooter and a walk-on scene with Strait.

    If I understand the Straitfever web site correctly, George is only doing a song for the movie. I mean he is in the movie doing the song but that will be his only part.

    If it was posted anywhere, I'm sure a couple thousand fans would be making a pilgrimage to Nashville. I would think this was a good reason to keep things quiet. We all know how private George likes to keep his personal life.

    I have nothing against George doing another movie, but I do find it odd that there is no mention of this on George's fan club website, but instead from another source. I mean, when George's 2010 tour was announced a few days ago, it was all over the web, as well as on his fan club website. I'm sure that if there is any truth to this, his fan club would've already posted it to the website already

    Sounds more to me like concert footage, maybe a recap of recent events. "A Pure Country Gift"... makes sense, George Strait is "Pure Country" and his music is definitely a "GIFT". Whatever it is, I'm sure it's gonna be a big hit.

    I wish there were more details. You'd think that there would be a press release or something. From the title, it sounds like a sequel to Pure Country.

    George Strait never ceases to amaze me. I am so excited for this new movie, but so wish I was able to be in Nashville. I would definitely sit in that audience. 2010 is gonna be a good year, 2 concerts for me, a new movie, and who knows what else George has in store for us.

    George in a movie again....WOW!!! He was fantastic in 'Pure Country'. He can only be better, if that's possible, this time around. He sure is full of surprises this 2009! A summer tour, an upbeat album with song credits, a song in spanish, a movie!!! Again...WOW!!!

    OMG,OMG I can't wait i will definatly be getting that movie. I've seen the first one over and over. that definatly made my day since i won't be seeing him on tour this year!!!!!
