The DX Review - The Top 3 Battle

1st. JB Rocket - These guys are getting better and better. This is the first performance that really wowed me from them. I LOVE the song. Great job Naomi for reccomending it, it was PERFECT for them. I like Jonathan's lower range much better then his irritating high range so that definitely help. Overall, great song choice, great performance, and looks like the final 2 will be quite a battle afterall.

2nd. Steel Magnolia - I loved these guys too. You know, I was wrong when I said I didn't love them in my last review. I just haven't been paying enough attention to these guys. I watched some of their performances back and realize that they are one of my top favorites too. I think I like them more then The Stellas. (NO ONE will be O'Shea though.) This was their second best performance and they really needed something like this for me after their last two dissapointing weeks so I still really love them. I'll be rooting for them in the finale. :D

3rd. Ryan & Avalon - Hmm, it wasn't as bad as they usually are but it still wasn't that good. I actually love the song, it's a really good song. And Ryan actually did really really well in the song. I was proud of him being able to let go on the guitar and rock it out. Avalon, not so much. I still don't like her and she just seemed really uncomftable in the performance in my honest opinion. If RYan had a better partner, maybe this performance wouldn't have been so bad. Meh, it's one of their better performances though. At least they rocked at last.

I still like Steel Magnolia the most overall so I'm rooting for them next week. THank god Ryan & Avalon went home. At least they didn't make the top 2. That would've been going WAY too far.

I also kind of like Kate & Kacey's performance. Though, I don't think they sounded their best. :p

We love JB Rocket and Steel Magnolia. We would have liked to see the boys win but feel like Steel Magnolia will win. The judges have been for them every episode. I hope that JB Rocket will keep going. I'm amazed at how they seem like they have been together so much longer than just this show. Best wishes to both of them and all the contestants.

Re: Aspertane 5 days ago. I still think Naomi has her original opinion of Kate and Kasey. IMO, she was ashamed of how rude she was to them last year (and rightly so) and felt she had to give them some praise. But, she still doesn't like them. I don't watch much country music but the girls, to me, are just about the same as a lot of the blonde girls singing country music. Didn't watch CYD last year but am enjoying the show. I need to see more of the girls to make a proper assessment of them.

I like Steel magnolia but dislike JB Rocket. I do not like their voices, the way they dress or anything and before anyone asks, I do not like Rascal Flats either. Ryan and Avalon may not be the greatest but in my opinion only, better that Rocket.

I like Steel Magnolia, but Tim and Faith are hard to cover. They both have Hall of Fame voices. Their performance reminded me of how wonderful C & W were last year. They took a Tim and Faith song and made it better. Not an easy thing to do. I'm excited to see them come back this week.

1st - JB Rocket - These guys are awesome. I think they have a better chance of really making it big. I love their voices and their energy.
2nd - Steel Magnolia - I like Steel Magnolia I did not like their performace of I Need You. I think they did more damage to the song than they did justice.
3rd - Ryan and Avalon - I don't even understand why they weren't not sent home already.
Kate and Kacey - Didn't like them on the show last year and guess what? I still don't like them this year.

1st - Steel Magnolia. All of their performances have been over the top except for the last one. It was hard to get the Tim and Faith’s version out of my mind.
2nd - J. D. Rocket – Amazing sound for a couple of guys who have been together for such a short time.
3rd – Ryan & Avalon. I loved the song, American Track. Ryan’s performance was outstanding, Avalon’s was better than past performances.

It’s not a gender thing. Kacey and Kate’s Dreaming Love video is outstanding. I also enjoyed their performance on this season’s Can You Duet. I believe Mama Judd’s constructive criticism on Season 1 was beneficial to these young artists.

Pretty good review! Mama had no choice but to be nice, she was sitting beside one of the most powerful guys in country music who signed them. K&K won a Yahoo Music award and are currently on the ballot for Country Music Top Twenty Countdown.

They never struck me. I thought their performance was OK, I wouldn't buy them but they are very pretty. They can do a lot of fixing in the studio. I find them boring but I'm a woman so the guys have to speak up. Everyone likes something different so good luck.

Call me mean-spirited, but I would have loved it if Mama Judd had stuck with her opinion that K&K are an "eh". They aren't bad; I just don't think they would be there but for the novelty of being good looking blonds, also twins, which is visually interesting. (Which leads us back to the 'you ppl hate hot female performers argument -oy!)
