Very Early Recording from '94 or '95
I hope you can help me. I was the GM of a large Dallas nightclub in the mid 90's and was in charge of booking bands. In '94 or '95 my booking agent gave me a copy of LeAnn's 1st recording, a "demo" tape featuring a very young picture of LeAnn, and I liked it so much that I asked for a second copy for my Mother. (I routinely received tapes of bands that wanted to play my club . I believe LeAnn was charging about $500 for a 4 hour show.) Long story short; I never gave it to my Mother and I still have it in perfect condition and still factory sealed. This recording was only distributed in Dallas and I doubt there are many left that are unopened. It is simply titled "LeAnn Rimes" and there is no record label named on this copy. Have any of you ever heard of this early recording? I have searched the internet with no luck. It is not included in any discography I've found. Curious to hear what y'all have to say. Thanks,...

"Cowboy's Sweetheart" and "I Will Always Love You" are on the album that I have along with her first copies of "Blue", "I'll Get Even With You", "Sure Thing", "Middle Man", "Why Can't We", "Broken Wing", "The Rest Is History", "Yesterday", as well as the first song that she wrote named "Share My Love", but them other songs that you tell about, I have never heard them before except for the National Anthem of course. They sound good though! (smiles)

God bless you and LeAnn always!!!

Wow !! That's more info than I've managed to get over the past year !! I've emailed her fan club, fan sites, etc. and have had no luck. So, thank you. I don't think the one I have is any of the ones you listed though, as there is no label or title listed, and her name is the only thing that appears on the side of the tape. Here are the songs listed on the back: Side A - I Have Nothing, Since I Fell For You, I Will Always Love You Side B - Cowboys Sweetheart, Star Spangled Banner, True Americans, United We Stand
I wanted to include more pics but it would only allow one. Again, Thanks. Mike

I have seen that shot of LeAnn before but as part of a write up that Country Weekly magazine did on her back in early 1997. Other earlier shots of her were included. I do have a tape copy of the album that she did at age 11 named All That in 1994. I got it for my birthday back in 1998 and I got it through her fan club at the time. According to her discography page over at the Wikapedia website, she made two other albums before that one: Everybody’s Sweetheart done in 1991 and From My Heart To Yours done in 1992. I have seen what was the front picture for the one named Everybody’s Sweetheart and in the shot LeAnn is about eight years old, her hair was wavy and shoulder length looking with her hands together up by her face. Could that shot that you are sharing here be what was the front picture for her From My Heart To Yours album?

God bless you and LeAnn always!!!

P.S. According to her discography page at the Wikapedia website, all three of them albums including the one named All That were said to be released on a label named Nor Va Jak.
