We loved the guys too. I really hope someone picks them up soon! I think they would really pull in that younger crowd and us middle agers (myself included). My daughters want music from them now. We bought their acoustic download on itunes but would love to have Neon Moon and Talking about our love!

I loved JB Rocket. I could not stand the way the judges "oohed and aahed" every week over Steel Magnolia. You could predict that they were going to win weeks ago. I look at last year as an example. Joey and Rory came in 3rd and seem way more popualar than the winners.I hope another record company snatch up JB Rocket and blows SM out of the water.

I was really hoping JB Rocket would win. I like Steel Magnolia, but the girl just doesn't have all that much personality. Hopefully Big Machine signs JB Rocket...I'm sure Scott has at least that much sense.

Although they didn't win the contest, they still have a contract with the same record company as Steel Magnolia.

JB Rocket sings their own style but, in the tradition of Brooks and Dunn. But, the winners tonight didn't really sing my kind of country music. Steel Magnolia's singing style is like the rockers of the 1970s and the 1980s.

Re: Kim's comment. I thought the same thing about Brandon asking for a shot with Jonathan, however, the show did allow the pairup which they could have refused. I think both of these duos will be signed. They are both very good. Avalon and Ryan will surely get a contract with BMI as Scott is so smitten with A. The comparison of Ryan and Johnny Cash - I do not see this at all. Johnny was very charismatic, sort of raunchy and an exciting performer. I did not realize this until someone pointed it out - John did not have a beautiful voice at all - was carried by his rapport with audience and his performances which usually had one laughing. Thinking of June and his "Jackson." He had a deep bass voice and lots of performing skills and energy which, IMO, I do not see in Ryan. I do like Ryan and think he would have done much better if paired with Kassie or someone like that. Avalon's mom is a singer/composer and may be aquainted with the judges. I don't know this. I think Avalon is trying to follow in mom's footsteps but simply doesn't have the pipes for it. I can see her, maybe, singing in some small coffee bar doing folk music, playing a ukeleli. However, IMO, she needs to get another occupation, maybe record a "bedtime sleep CD" to relax someone. Love Steel - read that Josh plays keys, drums and bass guitar also. SM has done an excellent job of picking songs and made great arrangements. Played "I need You." over and over and it gets a whole lot better. IMO, SM is the whole package.

I like both finalists, but of course my 15 year old daughter is IN LOVE with JB Rocket. I think they are adorable & really talented, but truthfully I am sick to death of the judges taking all the credit for pairing them. Naomi says this EVERY week. I clearly remember the show where they paired up the singles, and they asked each person who they wanted to sing with. Brandon said he'd always had a male singing partner (his cousin), and then said "I really want to sing with Jonathan". And the judges were all shocked. "Jonathan??!!"" Then, they had them sing together, and the pair was born. Why not give BRANDON the credit for choosing his partner. It was pretty clear that the judges weren't considering it.

We love them too and we love steel also. HOpe they both have a great career!

I love them to. I think out of all of them they have a better shot at really making it. I really hope they win the whole thing.
