For maria R: The LAST solo #1 hit by a female artist other than Carrie or Taylor happened in 2005 (YES!). It was Sara Evans' A Real Fine Place To Start.
As far as the Reba/Kelly duet on Because Of You in 2007, it did peak at #2 behind Rodney Atkins' These Are My People. The following week Garth Brooks debuted at #1 with More Than A Memory.

I do think Carrie will be #1 on Billboard, but the new numbers on MB are not as easy to interpret so it's even more guesswork than usual. Carrie's #1 on RTT, Carrie did gain ground in audience on Lady A (but the MB numbers are not reliable now), and Carrie's the one with the album debut. Furthermore, she's the one who might like to be announced, when she hosts the award show this week, as the "singer of the #1 song."
On the other hand, there's no reason Lady A can't win it. This is like a close election......

Lady A is listed above of CU on Allaccess, ahead in spins, but about 0.4 millions behind in audience. I think they might be switching on RTT. We will know for sure only by Monday. BB, Jon. james, jsbuzz will update us. I wish I have access to RTT....

Wait until you see today's MB numbers, with the songs gaining millions of new impressions even though their spin numbers only move by a couple of hundred. Guess we'll just say "new panel stations" and go from there.
I will just add to buzz's comment about KU's song being delivered to radio that the new edit, according to a very reliable Pulse poster, is 3:57, and that's quite a bit shorter than the album track. Should help. I think the great length (about 5 mins) of Welcome To The Future helped keep Bra......

I missed the first part of his song...I fell sound asleep (I had a 14 hour workday and was plain pooped out!! Sorry, Keith, I'll never fall asleep on you again! LOL)
Hubby woke me up to watch the last minute or so. I thought Keith and the guys looked like they were having a blast. Very rockin' and fun-loving!! Keith was smiling the whole time from what I saw.
I will rewatch it on the DVR so I can see it all....

Glad to hear TSCA was sent out. This song sounds like nothing else out there. I think it will do well. I had my doubts (mostly because I think he needed more of an upbeat song after OYCLMTW, but what do I know??)
I think the uniqueness and soulfulness of this song will take it far. At least I hope people give it a chance. If not at country radio, then def. at AC format....

I remember entering this contest almost daily. I never won the BSE, but I got the little gifts (t-shirt, hat and stuff) and I also won a year membership for his fan club... but I think that was through Verizon.

Derek Jeter is one of the nicest, classiest guys in pro sports. Truly. Nobody ever has anything bad to say about him. He always says the right thing... never anything controversial. His parents did an outstanding job.
He is rumored to be engaged to Minka Kelly. An actress. He denied it last night.
I saw him at spring training years ago. 10 feet away. Extended eye contact and he had the same effect that Keith has... at least for me. Incredibly athletic, toned body and gorgeous eyes and teeth....
