I think that they should begin sending a "good" teen with the teens on their week-long adventures. That would be another angle to show these kids. Show them that there are teens who choose to be responsible.

I love this show, but the Jesus-thumping/Right Wing Fascism needs to go. Some of these parents were WAY over the top (McCuins, Heltons, Wrights, Mannings, and Bouldins, and to a certain extent, the Hatchers and the Rutherfords).

I have watched this show for a little while, the problem is that there is no follow up, you put these kids in a situation make them feel sorry about what or how they are acting toward parental figures then send them home after a week. this is several years of bad behevior and poor decision making. change takes time, it doesn't happen in a week. It makes foe a good tv show but if I were to guess the bad behevior starts again in a week ot two.

my first episode was the wright family and they are nuts. do not push religion on someone you do not know. the scene of them spying on their kids made them look absolutely psycho. searching the kids bags? were they entering a court house or airport, Jesus, that's something a Nazi would do! Good religious kids are the ones that turn psycho so pray to god you do not encounter the wright kids when they leave the nest and realize they can make decisions and do things on their own!!! HELP US ALL!!!!

I have been watching this show for awhile now. I would really like to see how the teens change. There are some I am convinced have but others, I'm not so sure. I would love to see what really happened after they returned home....

i have a 16 yr old daughter, who in the last 3 years has been declining fast.. everything from bad grades at school, stealing, verbally abusive, even to her 7 yr old sister, i have tried everything.. no drivers license, chores, now im lost as to what to do, if anyone can help, please let me know...this has to stop...

I was channel surfing this morning and I don't usually watch reality TV especially on MTV. Normally these reality shows are so anti functional family and it sometimes appears it is not cool to be a respectful, honest, good natured, hard working young person. I am a father of two teen age girls and my family works very hard to be the best citizens we can. My hat is off to the producers of this show!!! Great work! We need more TV like this.

Kudos to CMT for filming this show! It ain't a secret that hard 'work' disciplines a child. I was raised by strict parents who kept me occupied with chores around the house, or at grandma's. I didn't sit in front of TV, hang out at the mall, or have a cellphone, unlike these teenagers today who are spolied by technology. I plan on raising my daughter the same way, as I do believe that discipline begins at home at an early age.

I would love to see them in 6-8 months to see how these kids are doing. Do a follow up! Are they still trying to change or did they revert back to brats????? Have they learned anything? Are they in Jail? Are they still in school or did they graduate? A follow up show is soooo needed. I love the show but without knowing what happened it leave to many unanswered questions....
