Glad to see "el rey" make it's way in, and it's about time "High Tone Woman" got the boot. What did "Gotta Get to You" replace?... more

I'm not a fan of the playlist. Needs more stuff from the 80's and 90's and less of things like "High Toned Woman" "River of Love" "Texas" "How Bout Them Cowgirls". "Honk if you Honky Tonk" was a great concert opener, but it has been replaced by "Twang", you don't need both. I want "There Stands the Glass" and "Cherokee Maiden" back. I miss "Blue Clear Sky" "When Did You Stop Loving Me" "I Just Want to Dance with You"! I will be happy just seeing him again after the 6 long years he has avoided New Or...... more

I wish there were more details. You'd think that there would be a press release or something. From the title, it sounds like a sequel to Pure Country.... more

I am so happy he is finally coming back to the New Orleans area after 6 long years. Also, how cool is it when you've had the likes of Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, and now Reba McIntire as your opening acts. George is incredible.... more

In other words, it was probably a huge mistake to release the album early. Should've waited until September.... more

First, I love the song, but the main reason I want it to be number is so George and Bubba keep writing. It's nice to finally hear songs that George is not only singing but had a hand in writing. It took almost 30 years for him to start writing again. I hope the positive spins return quickly!... more

I think that if there are 3 singles released, they'll be: 1)Living For The Night 2)I Gotta Get To You 3)He's Got That Something Special If there are 4 singles: 1. Living For The Night 2. I Gotta Get To You 3. The Breath You Take 4. He's Got that Something Special I'm a little disappointed in the arrangement of "I Gotta Get to You". The instruments are just too soft IMO. "The Breath You Take" is easily my favorite song.... more

"Where Have I Been All My Life" and "The Breath You Take" are absolutely amazing. "Twang" is good, but it's something I have to be in the mood for. "Easy As You Go" tells a good story. I want to hear the complete version of "I Gotta Get to You"!... more

Thanks Jon! I wish Aldean would back off, but as long as George stays ahead, I'm happy. Have you had a chance to listen to the clips of the rest of Twang posted on Amazon?... more

How did you manage to get that link straitgeorge? It prompted me for a username and password, but I couldn't find anywhere to sign up. It's weird hearing george singing in Spanish, but it works!... more

I'm fairly certain it's George's version, but I cannot find a "safe" place to get it from. There's a mexican radio station, but you have to be a member. It was also on youtube, but taken down.... more

jerryopry suggested this about a week ago. It is certainly a promo image from Twang and could likely be the cover. If it is the cover, it is the best since "The Road Less Traveled" IMO and is very "Always Never the Same"-esque. BTW, the pic looks to have been taken the shooting of the Troubadour video.... more

MCA is using it on their page for the song as well. The picture was definitely taken the same day as the Troubadour video. I guess they knocked out two birds with one stone (video and photoshoot)... more

It's certainly a newer photo because he hasn't done any significant photoshoots since his clothing line came out a few years ago. Both the shirt and jeans are from the George Strait collection, so this is more recent. I can't decide if this is from the Troubadour video shoot or not. It would be nice to get new pictures for a change, and it's also nice to see the white hat make a comeback. The cover photo on the new Country Weekly seems new as well.... more

If I had to compare it to another song for pacing, it's in the mold of "Meanwhile" and "Run" where there are slow parts and parts where it picks up. It all depends on the competition from other singles and the dedication of MCA (who were extremely dedicated to River of Love). BTW, KJ97 is playing it again around 3:20.... more

George has done it again. "Living for the Night" is unlike anything he's ever done, yet it's still a "George Strait" song. It's a low-tempo, bluesy country song about a man who has had his heart broken and is dead until the night where whiskey and neon lights console him. George really gets to show off his range in the song and the music is very pretty.... more
